Recommendations: 

Tooling Sets with Shims

Effective 4-11-2010, Paper Machinery Corporation will discontinue the use of shims on all Tooling Sets. The shims have been used to space the Tamper Lubricator Retainer.

NOTE: Newer PMC-1002 tooling sets have already incorporated this in their design.

How to Determine if Shims are Required:

Measure the thickness of the retainer, and…

…if the retainer measures 0.250 in (6.350 mm), shims are required.

…if the retainer measures 0.300 in (7.620 mm), shims are not required.
