Paper Machinery Corporation today announced that it will introduce the highest speed paper cup forming machine in history at Pack Expo International, Nov. 2-5, in Chicago. The PMC 1003, which can form up to 330 cups per minute, will meet the needs of high-volume paper cup and container converters providing greater efficiency and reduced production costs.
Building on the legacy of the PMC 1002, the PMC 1003 combines the robust PMC cam drive with technological advancements to establish a new speed benchmark. Next generation integration of servo and cam technology leads to reduced inertia for faster, more efficient production.
“Speed means everything in today’s global economy,” stated Mike Hansen, PMC’s vice president of packaging. “The new PMC 1003 allows converters to complete large capacity runs faster so they can meet production schedules that are becoming more compressed.”
Its range and versatility allow the PMC 1003 to form cups and containers from 3 oz. to 32 oz. “Today’s markets are truly global and require a wide variety of configurations in cups and containers,” said John Baumgartner, president of PMC. “The PMC 1003 forms tapered paperboard or plastic cups and containers for food and beverage, snacks, and frozen dessert categories.”
Fast, productive, operator-friendly, the new PMC 1003 gives converters the essential speed and agility needed in this competitive economy. It can be seen in operation at booth S1608 at Pack Expo International.
