Paper Machinery Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance inspection, with proficiency in using both handheld measurement tools and computer-aided measuring tools. This position requires the ability to read engineering drawings, understand GD&T, and possess good computer skills for entering part disposition. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Technician will collaborate with machinists, assembly technicians, and engineers to resolve any quality issues that arise.

Position Responsibilities, but not limited to:

 

  • Utilize handheld measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges to inspect parts.
  • Operate computer-aided measuring tools, including height stands and CMM (Calypso software experience preferred), for accurate and precise measurements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T to ensure parts meet specified requirements.
  • Enter part disposition and maintain accurate records using computer systems.
  • Collaborate with machinists, assembly technicians, and engineers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience as a quality assurance inspection technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using handheld measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges.
  • Experience with computer-aided measuring tools, including height stands and CMM (Calypso software experience preferred).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
  • Good computer skills for entering part disposition and maintaining records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.

Base Salary: $28/hr – $40/hr
